Database disclosure via injectable index.php id parameter
Published Aug 18, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Student Management System allows remote attackers to read database data through the index.php id parameter. The index.php handler places the GET id value into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, enabling boolean- and error-based injection. The public proof of concept demonstrates database reads, while published assessments disagree on whether authentication is required.
