Authenticated bulletin data tampering via authorization bypass
Published Jul 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authorization in Cybozu Garoon 4.0.0 through 5.5.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter Bulletin data. Cybozu and JPCERT/CC identify an operation-restriction bypass in the Bulletin component but do not disclose the request path or failed authorization check. Any user who can log in can modify Bulletin content outside the operations permitted to that account, while no confidentiality or availability impact is reported.
