Stored XSS via unsanitized video titles
Published Aug 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in WWBN AVideo 11.6 and dev commit 3f7c0364 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The videoAddNew endpoint passes a crafted title to Video without neutralizing event-handler markup, stores it, and renders it on the video's page. Video-upload permission and a victim visit are required; the script runs in the victim's site origin and can act with that session's authority.
