Service interruption via Stream profile memory exhaustion
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Uncontrolled resource consumption in F5 BIG-IP 16.1.x before 16.1.2.2 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted requests. F5 has not disclosed the request structure or the Stream-processing operation that improperly increases memory consumption. The affected virtual server must use a Stream profile; the documented consequence is availability loss, without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
