CVE-2022-28695Network attack vector

Privileged command execution via crafted file upload

Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Command injection in affected F5 BIG-IP AFM releases allows remote authenticated users with high privileges to run arbitrary commands. The AFM Configuration utility accepts a maliciously crafted file upload, but F5 has not disclosed how the file reaches command execution. Reaching the flaw requires an authenticated high-privilege account; successful exploitation executes commands on the BIG-IP system.
