Argument spoofing in Canonical Apport before 2.21.0 allows local users to alter daemon arguments through executable-path whitespace. On kernels before 5.3.0, data/apport receives a space-containing %E core-pattern expansion as multiple tokens and parses them as positional options rather than rejoining the executable path. This requires a local user to crash an executable whose path contains crafted whitespace; the bounded result is spoofed input to the privileged Apport daemon.
