CVE-2022-28633

Local firmware filesystem disclosure and modification

Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Firmware filesystem access in HPE iLO 5 before 2.71 allows local users to read and write the firmware file system. HPE has not published the affected firmware component or the operation that fails to prevent an unprivileged local user from accessing protected files. Local server access is required; exploitation exposes all firmware file contents and permits modifications that can impair integrity and availability.
