Administrative repository access via embedded API token
Published May 31, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Hard-coded credentials in Linkplay SoundBar apps using SDK 1.00 allow remote attackers to obtain administrative access to Linkplay Artifactory. The applications embed an administrative JFrog Artifactory API token and send it in the X-JFrog-Art-Api header when uploading logs. Possession of the token requires no prior account and grants repository administration, including changing application code distributed to multiple app tenants.
