Authenticated RCE via unrestricted image upload
Published May 4, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Sourcecodester Doctor's Appointment System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute server commands. The administrator site-settings handler accepts a PHP payload as an image and stores it under the web-accessible assets/img path, where requesting the uploaded file invokes the PHP interpreter. Administrator-panel access and knowledge of the stored filename are required, after which commands run with the web server process's privileges.
