Stored script execution via unencoded filenames and subjects
Published May 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in FUDforum 3.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The attachment path stores an uploaded filename without HTML encoding, while the mail path encodes subjects only after an error can render them. A forum account and victim interaction are required; crafted filenames or mail subjects execute script in the victim's FUDforum session.
