Administrator-triggered script execution via unencoded role name
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in SeedDMS 5.1.25 and earlier and 6.0.18 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in an administrator's browser. The role-management name field stores attacker-supplied markup, and the Users management view renders it without HTML encoding. Administrator privileges are required to store the payload, and opening Users management triggers it in the viewing administrator's browser.
