Administrator file deletion via unsanitized log path
Published Jun 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in SeedDMS 5.1.24 and 6.0.17 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files. The Remove file action passes a request-supplied log filename to the filesystem deletion operation without reducing it to a basename. Administrator privileges and access to the Log files management menu are required; deletion is limited to files writable by the web server account.
