Unauthenticated stored XSS via unchecked event creation
Published Aug 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored XSS in CodePeople CP Multi View Events Calendar before 1.4.07 allows remote attackers to create malicious events without authentication. The public event-creation handler accepts event fields without authorization or CSRF checks and stores them without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. When front-end editing is exposed, viewing a crafted event executes attacker-supplied script in a visitor's browser and permits arbitrary event creation.
