Encrypted-data disclosure via offline passcode brute force

Cryptographic weakness in Verbatim Keypad Secure and Store 'n' Go Secure drives allows attackers to read protected data offline. The INIC-3637EN firmware decrypts a known SSD sector with each passcode-derived key and accepts the key when fixed " INI" bytes appear at expected offsets. Physical access to the drive enables passcode-key capture and unrestricted offline trials, bypassing the keypad's 20-attempt lockout.
