Encrypted-data disclosure via repeating AES-256-ECB ciphertext blocks

Information disclosure in certain Verbatim encrypted drives allows attackers to infer stored data via repeated ciphertext patterns. The INIC-3637EN bridge firmware encrypts identical 16-byte plaintext blocks into identical ciphertext blocks with AES-256-ECB, exposing repetition because ECB provides no diffusion. Attackers need physical access to read raw media or replace ciphertext blocks, enabling pattern disclosure or targeted block substitution without recovering the key.
