Memory disclosure via Annotation out-of-bounds read
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 22.001.20085 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose process memory. JavaScript actions on a crafted Annotation object make the parser read past that object's allocation; Reader 2020 and 2017 tracks are also affected. Exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, and the disclosed memory can help bypass ASLR in a wider exploit chain.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
