Code execution via crafted-file out-of-bounds read
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in affected Adobe Acrobat Reader releases allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted file. While parsing the file, the reader fails to enforce an allocated structure's boundary and reads data beyond its end. Attackers need no product account, but a local user must open the malicious file; successful exploitation runs code with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
