Account hijacking via unrotated login session
Published Aug 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Session fixation in NamelessMC Nameless before 2.0.2 allows remote attackers to hijack an account through a fixed session identifier. The login flow preserves a pre-authentication session identifier after credentials are accepted instead of issuing a new identifier. The attacker must first make a victim use a known session identifier and then wait for that victim to authenticate, after which the shared identifier grants access to the victim's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
