CVE-2022-28170

Local password disclosure via debug statements

Published Oct 25, 2022 · Updated May 9, 2025

Sensitive-information exposure in Brocade Fabric OS before 9.1.0, 9.0.1e, 8.2.3c, and 7.4.2j allows local users to read passwords. Web Application services write server and user passwords into debug statements, leaving the credentials recoverable from a debug file. Low-privileged local access is required; the reported consequence is password disclosure, not data modification or service interruption.
