CVE-2022-28152Network attack vector

Unauthorized job ownership reset via non-POST endpoint

Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

CSRF in Jenkins Job and Node ownership Plugin 0.13.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to restore a job's default ownership. An HTTP endpoint that performs the ownership reset accepts non-POST requests, allowing a victim's authenticated browser to submit the state-changing action without CSRF protection. Exploitation requires a user with access to the affected Jenkins job to visit attacker-controlled content; the bounded impact is an unauthorized ownership reset.
