SQL injection via unchecked orderBy parameter
Published May 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in MyBatis PageHelper before 5.3.1 allows remote attackers to alter database queries through an orderBy value. Page.setOrderBy stores the caller-supplied orderBy string without validation, allowing time-delay expressions to enter the generated ORDER BY clause. Reachability requires a consuming application to pass remote input into the sorting API; the demonstrated consequence is time-based query manipulation.
