Heap buffer over-read in HTMLDOC before 1.9.16 allows attackers to disclose memory or crash the process via a malformed file. pdf_write_names indexes the pages array with link->page before ensuring that the referenced page exists, so a crafted link page number reads beyond the heap allocation. Exploitation requires HTMLDOC to process the crafted input; the published proof of concept demonstrates an out-of-bounds read, while arbitrary code execution is not demonstrated.
