Authenticated database disclosure via cash-advance ID injection
Published Apr 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Attendance and Payroll System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through the cash-advance editor. The admin/cashadvance_edit.php handler treats the POST id value as SQL syntax, allowing an updatexml error payload to return the database name. Administrator-interface access and a valid session are required; the demonstrated consequence is database-name disclosure, while broader database effects were not demonstrated.
