Authenticated SQL injection via employee deletion ID
Published Apr 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Attendance and Payroll System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter database data via an employee ID. The admin/employee_delete.php handler inserts the POST id value into an SQL statement without neutralizing quotes, so crafted input closes the intended expression and appends database operations. A valid administrator session is required; the published error-based payload returns the active database name, and further impact depends on the application's database privileges.
