Customer data disclosure via trusted exception stack traces
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Information exposure in Palantir Foundry Build2 before 1.785.0 allows local users to read customer data captured in service logs. A Phonograph Spark job marks RemoteException stack traces as Safe, causing Build2's centralized logging to retain their arguments without filtering. Exploitation requires high privileges and user interaction, and the disclosed impact is limited to confidentiality of data present in affected stack traces.
