Administrator session theft via unescaped wd parameter
Published Mar 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Maccms v10 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through a crafted wd parameter. The /admin.php/admin/ulog/index.html handler returns the wd query value in generated HTML without neutralizing executable markup. An administrator must be logged in and follow the crafted URL; the resulting same-origin script can read the session cookie and act within the administrator's web session.
