Settings modification via missing nonce validation
Published Nov 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Fatcat Apps Analytics Cat 1.0.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings. The fca_ga_settings_page function accepts settings requests without valid WordPress nonce verification, allowing attacker-supplied values to be saved. Exploitation requires a logged-in site administrator to visit or submit attacker-controlled content, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to plugin configuration changes.
