Administrator command execution via undisclosed Guided Configuration URIs
Published May 5, 2022 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
Command injection in F5 BIG-IP Guided Configuration before 9.0 allows remote authenticated users to bypass Appliance mode restrictions. Undisclosed Guided Configuration URIs pass attacker-controlled input to operating-system commands without adequate neutralization; F5 has not identified the URIs or code locus. Exploitation requires an Administrator-role account on a BIG-IP Advanced WAF, APM, or ASM system running in Appliance mode, and successful injection escapes that mode's command restrictions without a reported availability impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
