Arbitrary code execution via zoomType out-of-bounds write
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Acrobat Reader 22.001.20085 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to execute code via a malicious PDF. The zoomType handling path performs an out-of-bounds memory write while parsing crafted document data; Adobe has not disclosed the affected function or missing validation. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file and runs attacker-controlled code with that user's privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
