Code execution via embedded-font buffer overwrite
Published May 11, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 22.001.20085 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious PDF. The embedded-font parser accepts crafted font data that writes past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a user to visit a malicious page or open the file, after which code runs in the current process and user's context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
