Temporary-directory hijacking in Spring Boot before 2.2.11.RELEASE allows local users to take over an embedded web-server application. AbstractConfigurableWebServerFactory.createTempDir deletes a unique temporary file, then ignores a failed mkdir, leaving a race in which an attacker can create and own the replacement directory. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access to a shared system temporary directory and permits reading or replacing application work files.
