Host-memory disclosure via cross-thread return prediction

Information disclosure in affected AMD processors allows guest OS users with special privileges to infer host memory when SMT is enabled. The return address stack is dynamically partitioned between non-idle sibling threads, allowing one thread to steer speculative execution on the adjacent thread after an SMT mode switch. Exposure is limited to Zen 1 or Zen 2 systems in select virtualization configurations; disclosed data can include memory assigned to the host or other guests.
