CVE-2022-27657

Directory disclosure via insufficient path validation

Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in SAP Simple Diagnostics Agent 1.0 allows attackers to list restricted directories through its loopback HTTP service. The service on default localhost port 3005 accepts path information without sufficient validation and returns directory contents with sapadm access. Exploitation requires local access or a highly privileged remote path, and disclosure is bounded by the directories readable by sapadm.
