Denial of service via malformed PSD parsing
Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper input validation in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer 9 allows remote attackers to crash the application via a crafted Photoshop Document. The PSD parser writes beyond an allocated buffer when processing attacker-controlled file data, producing an application crash and temporary loss of availability. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file; the documented impact is service interruption until the Viewer is restarted.
