Improper certificate validation in NETGEAR R6700v3 1.0.4.120_10.0.91 allows network-adjacent attackers to alter HTTPS downloads. The router's HTTPS download path accepts a server certificate without proper validation, allowing a man-in-the-middle server to substitute downloaded content. No authentication is required, but code execution as root requires chaining this flaw with another vulnerability.
