Guest Wi-Fi credential disclosure via empty requests
Published Aug 5, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Information disclosure in TCL LINKHUB Mesh Wi-Fi AC1200 MS1G_00_01.00_14 allows remote attackers to read guest Wi-Fi credentials. The confctl_get_guest_wlan handler skips protobuf parsing, calls wlan_get_master_cfg, and returns the guest SSID and password in plaintext. Unauthenticated access from the Wi-Fi or wired network to port 9003 is enough to obtain credentials for the guest wireless network.
