Endpoint protection shutdown via registry tampering
Published Apr 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Forcepoint One Endpoint before 22.01 allows local users with Administrator privileges to disable protection via registry tampering. The affected Windows registry controls anti-tampering, and the product fails to prevent administrators from changing those controls. Local Windows access and Administrator privileges are required; successful tampering disables anti-tampering and permits the endpoint and its protections to be shut down.
