CVE-2022-27599

Sensitive-information disclosure through insufficiently protected logs

Published Sep 8, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Sensitive-data logging in QNAP QVR Pro Client 2.3 before 2.3.0.0420 allows local users to acquire information from logs. The client writes sensitive information into a log that provides a less-protected access path, but QNAP has not disclosed the log, data, or triggering operation. Exploitation requires local administrator privileges; the disclosed consequence is access to logged information, not remote compromise.
