Authentication bypass in SICK AG SIM2000ST part 1080579 allows remote attackers to obtain the RecoverableUserLevel over a network interface. The password-recovery handler permits invocation without the required authentication rights and assigns the configured recoverable user level. Network access to device configuration is sufficient; successful exploitation raises privileges and permits actions affecting device data and operation.
