Unauthenticated service interruption via configuration interface
Published Oct 31, 2022 · Updated May 7, 2025
Denial of service in SICK Flexi Compact before 1.10.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt the controller through its configuration interface. SICK has not published the request, authorization decision, or processing error that causes the availability loss on FLX3-CPUC1 and FLX3-CPUC2 modules. Exploitation requires unauthenticated access to the configuration interface over Ethernet; the same interface is also reachable through USB, and the reported consequence is limited to service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
