Improper input validation in libsimba on Samsung Mobile Devices Q(10), R(11), and S(12) allows attackers with privileges to write out of bounds. The parser_iloc and sheifd_find_itemIndexin functions process input without the validation needed to keep a write within its intended bounds. Exploitation requires elevated privileges and a path that supplies data to these parsing functions; Samsung has not disclosed the accepted data format or a code-execution outcome.
