CVE-2022-2756Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Internal resource access via unchecked cover-image fetch

Published Aug 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

SSRF in Kareadita Kavita before 0.5.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to make the server fetch attacker-chosen cover-image URLs. The cover-image upload flow lets a supplied URL drive a server-side fetch without verifying that the fetched resource is an image. Any authenticated account can reach the affected API, exposing internal or otherwise server-reachable resources and allowing limited response content to be returned or stored.
