CVE-2022-27497Network attack vector

Unauthenticated service interruption via firmware null dereference

Published Nov 11, 2022 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Null pointer dereference in Intel AMT firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt service through unauthenticated network access. Intel identifies the affected locus only as AMT firmware and does not disclose the request, input field, or code path that dereferences the null pointer. The issue affects releases before 11.8.93, 11.22.93, 11.12.93, 12.0.92, 14.1.67, 15.0.42, and 16.1.25; the resulting failure is reported only as denial of service.
