Admin-level code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Aug 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in SourceCodester Gym Management System allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary server-side code. The exercise-editing route at /mygym/admin/index.php?view_exercises accepts and stores an executable script without restricting dangerous file types, after which the script can be requested and run. Administrative exercise-editing access is required, and successful exploitation grants control through code execution in the web server context.
