Arbitrary SQL execution via unsafe MyBatis substitution
Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Roothub 2.6.0's Topics Counting feature allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL through the s parameter. The countLike query in src/main/resources/mapper/TopicDao.xml inserts the search value into a LIKE clause with MyBatis ${like} string substitution rather than a bound parameter. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted search value can alter the query and disclose database contents, including administrator password hashes.
