Phishing via unchecked post-login redirect
Published May 4, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Open redirect in nopCommerce 4.50.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to send users to an attacker-controlled site via a crafted login link. The login flow accepts an absolute returnurl value and uses it as the post-authentication redirect destination without restricting it to a local URL. Successful exploitation requires a user to follow the link and authenticate, enabling phishing through the store's trusted origin without changing store data.
