Database crash via uninitialized reference array

Denial of service in MariaDB Server 10.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the database with crafted SQL statements. During an UPDATE with a nested subquery, mysql_select enables select-list resolution for an empty field list, causing Item_ref processing to access an uninitialized ref_pointer_array. The attacker must be able to submit SQL statements; successful exploitation terminates the database server without a reported confidentiality impact.
