Database denial of service via crafted SQL
Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Denial of service in Arg_comparator::compare_real_fixed in MariaDB Server allows remote attackers to interrupt service using crafted SQL statements. The comparator processes specially crafted SQL statements, but MariaDB has not published the specific invalid operation or failure mode that produces the denial of service. Network access to the database listener is sufficient under NVD's unauthenticated assessment; the reported consequence is limited to loss of availability.
