Authenticated database manipulation via edit_tran SQL injection
Published Aug 9, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Gym Management System allows remote authenticated users to read and modify database data through edit_tran. The /mygym/admin/index.php handler incorporates the attacker-controlled edit_tran value into a database query without effective parameterization. Access to the administrative interface is required, and successful exploitation exposes database records to retrieval and modification.
