Unauthenticated command execution via ipsec_secrets packet handling
Published Apr 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in InHand Networks InRouter 900 firmware before 1.0.0.r11700 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The ipsec_secrets component processes a crafted network packet without neutralizing special elements before incorporating attacker-controlled data into an operating-system command. No authentication or user interaction is required, and resulting command execution can compromise the router.
